Every year in June we have the annual Don and Phyllis Quarnberg Family Reunion in K-town (as Linds put it). All the descendants of Don & Phyllis who can make it gather for lots of fun, crafting, swimming, playing, golfing, and best of all.......eating!
Rod and Kim outdo themselves every year dreaming up fancy menus to delight our taste buds. This year Aunt Shelley came up with a cool craft to make that showcased old family photos on a cube. Even Shawn got into the act and made one, declaring that he was "the craftiest one there!" This year Cass and James and Lexi were the only ones of our kids who could make it.
Holli and John are coming on July 10th for a going away party for Cass and James and their Doctor said they couldn't be gone that long so they had to choose which event to miss, and Hill is too close to having her baby so her Doctor said no traveling. Jake and Liz had car trouble at the last minute and were not able to come. We were very disappointed they couldn't make it. But we still managed to have a good time. Well, maybe James didn't have such a great time........he had just had some dental work done and was unable to eat anything solid. The whole weekend he lived on juice, pudding and yogurt. While we were all eating yummy crepes with strawberries and whipped cream, poor James was eating Cream of Wheat! I truly felt sorry for him. He never complained though, and at least acted like he enjoyed himself.

we had a super fun time at the reunion. too bad jake, liz, and josh couldn't come.
cute blog. i am almost positive there is no blog in shell's future... she won't even leave comments on ours... yet. it was fun to see you guys after like 5 years ;) love the group swimming picture. and you are right james was a super good sport about the whole "no solid foods" thing.
And too bad Holli and Johnny couldn't come, right Lexi?!! :)
