The Way We Were

I haven't done one of my "The Way We Were" posts in ages, so tonight I decided to delight you with a couple that showcase Jeff's awesome plaid pants:
Admittedly these aren't too outrageous. In fact I remember buying them for him our first Christmas. This is us at the Manti Temple for my sister's wedding.

But these maroon beauties are my fav! The thing is, he only has socks on in the picture, but he had these "far out" and "totally groovy" (thought I'd throw that in since it fits with the nostalgia of these pictures....) platform shoes that were black and maroon that completed this ensemble. They were awesome, and made him a good three inches taller. As if he needed to be taller.......

I can't believe you ever threw out those totally grovvin platform shoes. I would have liked to see them...or at least a picture of them. And the maroon sportsjacketin the top picture is the cat's meow as well. Your dress looks cute!

Wow! I love those old pictures. The plaid pants were probably super stylish back then. I'd love to have seen the platform shoes.

It's just so weird to see Dad in such groovy pants, since all he wears these days are cargo shorts. I can't believe you didn't keep the platform shoes! They would have been so fun to see.

I agree with Hilli, your dress is super cute. Did you make it? I always love these posts.
